Sometimes the Marts due in fact have very good deals on quality cookware products. This may not always follow the brand name rules that at first come to mind. Most brand name products have different product lines, and these lines usually are of different level of quality. The good news is if you buy brand name products, even the low cost lines, you will be getting a product that is normally much better quality that the better or the best of the non-brand name cookware. The brand name producers do not want you to associate their name with low-quality products. If this association happens you will not be a repeat buyer of that brand. If you go into a store or even a web site and the manufacturer's name is not readily seen or advertised, the buyer should be cautious. Manufacturers of quality products want the consumer to know their name.
The cookware has a heavy cast iron core which is consistent in quality and thickness up the side walls and in the lids. This creates great heat conductivity and allows the food within it to remain hot for a considerable length of time when you take it to the table. It is reputed to be able to withstand high temperatures without warping, and can be used on the stove top, in the oven or for broiler cooking.
The feature of hard anodized aluminum cookware that has made it so popular is the nonporous, nonstick surface. This surface is scratch resistant to the point that it can be used with metal cooking utensils without concern. No more hunting for the nylon or wooden utensils. Just grab whatever is at the top of the drawer and cook without having to baby your precious nonstick pan. The nonporous cooking surface does not allow food to stick so you don't have that burnt layer on the bottom of your pot to worry about. Plus you don't need to stand in the kitchen and stir it every five minutes. No more burnt food bits to pick out of you dinner entree. This cookware is also a great tool for the health conscious because it allows them to cook with very little use of oils and butter, eliminating unnecessary calories while sealing in the taste. Then there is my favorite feature, easy cleanup. The nonporous surface does not allow food to stick so cleanup is as simple as a damp cloth and few drops of dishwashing liquid. Some brands claim to be dishwasher safe but I highly recommend hand washing as the harsh chemicals in most automatic dishwasher detergents is very hard on this type of cookware. But that's not all.
